Help to Buy is a Government-backed scheme which can make it easier for first-time buyers to get on to the property ladder. Through the scheme, buyers can secure their home with a 5% deposit, supported by a government equity loan of up to 20%. The government equity loan remains interest-free for the first 5 years.
To be eligible for Help to Buy, you must be:

- a first-time buyer
